The Position
As a member of our team at HeinOnline you will support the Controller by working on month and year end close, various accounting reports, and managing sales tax.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the month and year end close.
  • Processing journal entries.
  • Assisting with the preparation of various accounting reports.
  • Managing the ongoing application, collection, and processing of sales tax for each state.
  • Processing all sales tax payments.
  • Any additional responsibilities as requested by Management.

Qualifications
Desired Skills, Abilities, & Interests:

  • Attention to detail and ensuring precise financial records.
  • Problem solving and analyzing financial data.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with Excel and an ability to quickly learn accounting software.
  • Data entry and routine accounting tasks

Education & Experience

  • Associates degree in accounting, business or a related field
  • 3+ years working in accounting

Schedule
Between the hours of: Monday – Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm
Approximately 20 hours per week

Salary
$26.00 - $31.50 per hour
